More than 26 billion rubles can be invested from the National Welfare Fund (NWF). on the strategy for the development of electric and hydrogen transport in Russia. The government is already tackling the issue of launching hydrogen buses in the country

A working group of the government is discussing a strategy for the development of electric and hydrogen transport in Russia until 2030, said Deputy Minister of Economy Ilya Torosov, answering a question from RBC on the sidelines of the Nevsky International Environmental Congress.

According to him, the total budget of the program until 2030 will amount to 776.8 billion rubles, of which the federal budget will allocate 154 billion rubles, and another 26.1 billion rubles will come from the National Welfare Fund (NWF). The rest is off-budget investments (RUB 595.9 billion). The program also provides for the production of vehicles running on hydrogen. Its types and volumes required for the needs of the regions are planned to be calculated and, based on these criteria, to determine where to locate the capacity for its manufacture or re-equipment.
